De Rosa Story
“Innovation cannot arise with the help of a formula alone, it can arise by imagining what is not yet in it and then realizing it.”
Ugo De Rosa
Bike with heart
De Rosa is one of the most well-known and recognized bicycle companies worldwide. It is a company that is run by and owned by a single family that, over several generations, has been creating these dynamic bikes with love and innovative production methods, paying great attention to the artistic aspect of each bike design that De Rosa has radiated. De Rosa continues to create each model as a unique handwork — with aluminum, iron, titanium and carbon fibers.
De Rosa History
Ugo De Rosa, the visionary founder of De Rosa, has always had a passion for cycling. He came to the world stage of cycling, participating in various bike races. His enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of cycling gave him the opportunity to open his own bicycle shop in 1953.
In 1958, Ugo was contacted by renowned cyclist Raphaël Géminiani and asked De Rosa to create a new bike for him for the upcoming Giro d'Italia. After this call, many followed Géminiani's example, and as public interest grew, the glorious history of this brand truly began to take shape.
Some of the achievements recently recorded in the cultural heritage of De Rosa are the victories of outstanding riders, obtained with the bikes of De Rosa. Riders such as Eddy Merckx and Romans Vainsteins, a Latvian cyclist who won the UCI Road World Championships in 2000, are just a few of the many champions who have chosen De Rosa.
In the 70 years since De Rosa was born, the company's success rate has only grown, as has its innovations in bicycle construction.
De Rosa — Border Destroyer
De Rosa has broken the boundaries of racing technology. Its continued commitment to develop, research and implement innovative and ingenious solutions in any unforeseen field that must be encountered in the bicycle creation process makes De Rosas bicycles one of the most recognized in the cycling world, both among professional cyclists and cycling enthusiasts.
